This is a massive, fast-paced trading environment.
You will lead an assertive, highly capable team of 15 logistics coordinators managing 300+ shipments per week.
Advantages

Responsibilities
-Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and drive accountability for a team of 15 coordinators processing roughly 20 shipments each per week.
-Global Freight Management: Oversee high-volume ocean freight operations, focusing heavily on complex foreign-to-foreign cargo lanes where cargo moves directly between international ports.
-Cold Chain Integrity: Take absolute ownership of specialized temperature-controlled (ocean reefer) logistics for frozen and perishable food commodities.
-Carrier Negotiations: Lead direct freight rate and contract negotiations with major Steamship Lines (SSL).
-Continuous Improvement: Act as the primary driver for operational excellence, implementing workflow efficiencies to streamline intermodal drayage and warehousing.
-Financials & Claims: Manage logistics budgets, lead RFQ processes, and decisively resolve high-value vendor claims related to marine and inland transport.
Qualifications
-The Experience: 10+ years in international logistics, with 5+ years leading teams specifically in a food or frozen goods environment.
-The Expertise: Direct, expert-level knowledge of ocean freight, ocean reefers, and direct steamship line negotiations.
-The Blueprint: Proven ability to manage massive volume (~20 shipments per week per coordinator), optimize logistics budgets, navigate RFQs, and handle high-value marine cargo claims.
-The Leadership: A bold, communicative management style with the confidence to roll out efficiency-focused continuous improvements.
