FP&A Manager - Remote! GTA
Are you a strategic FP&A professional who excels at building dynamic financial models and scenario forecasts from scratch rather than just maintaining spreadsheets?
Have you built a reputation as an autonomous, hands-on business partner who can collaborate with sales and operational leaders to align daily metrics with corporate profitability?
...
Are you ready to step into a newly created leadership role to build the FP&A function, own a major part in a 2027 ERP migration to Microsoft Business Central, and drive finance transformation across a growing multi-entity organization?
If you are an established FP&A professional with Big Four audit discipline who thrives on complete professional freedom and 100% remote flexibility, this is the career-defining opportunity you have been looking for!
We have partnered with a rapidly scaling, multi-entity financial services and specialty insurance organization seeking an agile, hands-on FP&A Manager to act as a core business partner to executive leadership. Operating in a fully remote setup with flexible working hours, this position serves as the primary bridge between financial reporting, operational execution, and automated reporting systems. Reporting directly to a supportive Head of Finance who actively values independent execution over micromanagement, you will enjoy true autonomy to solve complex data challenges, streamline multi-unit reporting, and shape your own career trajectory.
Advantages
What’s In It For You?
- Comprehensive Total Compensation & Benefits: Competitive base salary of $120,000 to $130,000 CAD, up to a 10% discretionary annual bonus, an RRSP plan with a 2% employer match for year one and 3% after year one, employer-covered health and dental premiums, 6 paid health leave days, 3 family responsibility days, paid vacation leave, and full financial support for CPA dues and continuing education.
- 100% Remote Flexibility: Enjoy true work-life balance with flexible daily hours and a fully remote work model, with only occasional local travel across the GTA for key operational alignment.
- Major Systems Transformation: Lead the financial automation and integration strategy as the organization upgrades its core general ledger from Great Plains to Microsoft Business Central in early 2027.
- Direct Impact & Visibility: Work in a collaborative, 110-person organization with an active open-door culture where challenging management is welcomed and seen as a driver of growth.
Responsibilities
What You Will Do:
- Commercial & Operational Business Partnering: Lead monthly performance reviews with sales and operational leaders to align daily team metrics, sales activity, and unit performance directly with revenue and profitability goals.
- Financial Modeling & Scenario Analysis: Construct dynamic, multi-file financial models from scratch to support long-range planning, rolling forecasts, annual budgets, and strategic decision-making.
- Systems Transformation & Automation: Play a key lead role in the 2027 migration to Microsoft Business Central, eliminating reporting bottlenecks, standardizing multi-entity datasets, and building automated reporting packages.
- Financial Accountability & Executive Reporting: Prepare and present concise financial dashboards, variance analyses, and strategic recommendations for leadership without requiring constant revision.
Qualifications
Who You Are:
- The Accounting Foundation & Pedigree: Professional CPA designation (or MBA) required, combined with a strong preference for Big Four public accounting/audit training to ensure pristine reporting standards and deadline discipline.
- The Analytical Toolset: Advanced Excel mastery (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, multi-file consolidation, scenario modeling) with a proven track record as an active "builder" who creates models independently.
- The Corporate Experience: 5+ years of progressive corporate FP&A experience in Canada, navigating multi-entity environments and complex data structures (insurance or financial services experience is a strong asset).
