- Spearheading the regulatory and IFRS financial reporting process, with extensive liaison with external advisors and service organizations.
- Serving as a primary liaison with both internal and external regulatory bodies and industry groups, offering insights on significant accounting issues and financial reporting concerns.
- Offering timely and expert accounting guidance on novel, intricate, or high-risk accounting or finance projects and transactions, aiding business partners in achieving their financial reporting objectives, such as acquisitions, divestitures, and impairments.
- Vigilantly monitoring new accounting standards and assessing their impact on policy standards and financial statements.
- Ensuring thorough documentation to validate and showcase the adequacy of procedures and controls in meeting accounting and regulatory requirements, and upholding compliance with internal policies.
- Steering the execution of strategic initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Harmonizing information and data from diverse sources to facilitate efficient data flow, enriched analysis, and streamlined reporting.
- Providing exemplary leadership, coaching, and management to the team, fostering a culture of growth and excellence.
Qualifications
CPA certification is mandatory, demonstrating expertise in accounting principles.
In-depth knowledge and experience with IFRS 17 insurance standards.
