Are you an experienced machine operator looking for reliable, long-term work with an industry leader? A premier rubber manufacturing plant near Waterloo/Guelph is seeking a detail-oriented Mill Operator to join their production team. This high-impact role is crucial to the raw material preparation process, directly driving the facility’s daily manufacturing output.

Responsibilities
- Material Processing: Roll, heat, and break down raw rubber compounds until precise temperature and texture benchmarks are achieved.
- Line Support: Feed conditioned rubber directly to calender machines to ensure continuous, bottleneck-free production.
- Compound Preparation: Blend raw ingredients on the mill following detailed production routers and job sheets.
- Quality & Contamination Control: Regularly inspect rubber batches to ensure zero debris, impurities, or texture inconsistencies.
- Logistics & Tracking: Weigh rubber totes using industrial scales, apply correct inventory tags, and complete daily pre-start audits and quality logs.
Qualifications
- Experience: Prior experience operating industrial milling machines, calenders, or heavy processing machinery preferred. Candidates with strong mechanical aptitude and general manufacturing backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
- Physical Capability: Ability to handle physical labor—including lifting, pushing, and manipulating rubber materials—throughout a 12-hour standing shift.
- Certifications & Skills: High school diploma or equivalent. Strong English literacy for production documentation. Valid Overhead Crane Certification is an asset (training provided if needed).
