Responsibilities
• Configure and manage Microsoft Purview data classification, sensitivity labels, and data loss prevention policies.
• Discover, inventory, and classify data across Microsoft 365, Azure data sources, and on-premises databases.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive data classification taxonomy aligned with organizational policies.
• Implement and fine-tune built-in and custom sensitive information types to ensure accurate data labeling.
• Monitor classification effectiveness and refine rules continually to minimize false positives and false negatives.
• Produce detailed reports and dashboards outlining classification coverage and overall compliance posture.
• Partner with corporate security and business stakeholders to support audit efforts and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications
• Five years of experience in designing, implementing, configuring, troubleshooting, and documenting software solutions.
• Three or more years of hands-on experience working specifically with Microsoft Purview, including Data Map and Information Protection.
• Three or more years of experience in data governance, data security, or information management.
• Proven ability to implement sensitivity labels, data loss prevention policies, and data discovery workflows.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and Azure environments as well as an understanding of regulatory frameworks like FOIP and POPA.
