Responsibilities
Design, build, test, and maintain robust data transformation services using .NET (C#), SSIS, and AWS cloud tools following established engineering frameworks.
Collaborate with data analysts, solution architects, and business stakeholders to ensure end-to-end platform quality and alignment with functional needs.
Support deployment strategy creation, execution, and post-release operational maintenance.
Build modular, highly reusable software components and execute thorough unit and integration testing.
Analyze existing business applications and recommend strategic architecture and workflow enhancements.
Participate in standard application support rotations (day/night) as part of the operational lifecycle.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of software development experience with a strong focus on data engineering and .NET frameworks.
3+ years of domain experience within financial services, investment management, or portfolio risk analytics.
Mastery of SQL Server platforms, SSIS, and modern cloud data platforms like Snowflake.
Solid hands-on development expertise with C#, .NET Core, Python, TypeScript, Angular, and Node.js.
Practical understanding of AWS cloud services (e.g., S3, Lambda) and integration technologies (e.g., SnapLogic).
Familiarity with containerization (Docker), API documentation (Swagger), version control (Git), and DevOps tools (Azure DevOps).
Proven experience with data warehousing concepts, system architecture (SOA), and Agile methodologies (Jira/Confluence).
Strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and comfort delivering under tight timelines.
Our client operates in Canada. The company takes all reasonable steps to limit the number of positions in Quebec that require knowledge of a language other than French, and only requires it when necessary and its existing bilingual employees are unable to perform these duties. Based on an assessment conducted by our client, it has been determined that this position requires candidates to be fluent in English (both spoken and written). In particular, this position will require the employee to interact with centralized internal departments (e.g., Operations / HR / Finance / Legal / Contracts / Sales) that support the organization in Canada and that do not speak French.
