Responsibilities
- Manage ocean freight shipments from origin to destination, ensuring timely and accurate delivery
- Develop and maintain competitive ocean freight pricing strategies to attract and retain customers
- Negotiate rates with carriers and suppliers to secure the best possible pricing
- Coordinate with carriers, shippers, and consignees to arrange bookings and monitor shipments
- Prepare and review shipping documentation, including bills of lading, invoices, and packing lists
- Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations and customs requirements
- Monitor shipment status and provide regular updates to customers
- Resolve any issues or discrepancies that arise during the shipping process
- Maintain strong relationships with carriers, suppliers, and customers
- Collaborate with our internal team to optimize logistics processes and improve efficiency
Qualifications
- Proven experience in ocean freight logistics or a similar role
- Strong knowledge of international shipping regulations and customs procedures
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
