In this role, you will act as a critical line of defense, ensuring that all new Small Business Banking accounts and maintenance changes across Canada strictly adhere to Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Know Your Customer (KYC), and Know Your Business (KYB) compliance regulations. This is a 90% back-office operational role focused on processing, analysis, and internal partner support.
Location: Mississauga, Ontario
Position Type: Contract (1 Year, with extension/conversion potential)
Work Model: Hybrid (4 days onsite, 1 day remote after an initial 5-day onsite training period)
Shift Schedule: Monday to Friday, standard 7.5-hour shifts within an 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM window (e.g., 8–4, 10–6, 12–8). Potential for overtime.
Compensation: $25.27

Responsibilities
Compliance Review: Review 100% of new Small Business Banking accounts and signing authority changes for flawless accuracy, ensuring compliance with AML/KYC/KYB requirements.
Queue & SLA Management: Work efficiently within a high-volume queue system to meet strict daily productivity, quality, and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Internal Partner Collaboration: Effectively connect with internal frontline partners via MS Teams to clarify information, resolve file deficiencies, and provide guidance on compliance policy.
Risk Mitigation: Maintain an exceptional eye for detail to identify gaps, mitigate risks, and escalate complex issues appropriately.
Qualifications
Must-Haves:
Experience: 2–4 years of administrative or operational experience, ideally within a bank or major financial institution.
Fast-Paced Capability: Proven ability to multitask, manage time independently, and thrive under pressure in a high-volume environment.
Compliance Mindset: Strong attention to detail with an understanding of risk mitigation or queue-based workflows.
Communication Skills: Strong oral and written communication skills for internal partner collaboration.
Technical Proficiency: Solid basic skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
Education: High School Diploma required.
Nice-to-Haves:
Post-secondary college or university degree is a strong asset.
Previous experience with financial Host applications.
Bilingualism (English/French) is a definite asset.
