Responsibilities
Lead the strategy, design, and execution of comprehensive load and performance testing for complex FinTech applications.
Partner with daily stakeholders, including developers, architects, and product managers, to define performance requirements and SLAs.
Create, maintain, and optimize sophisticated performance test scripts simulating real-world user behavior and high-volume traffic.
Analyze performance bottlenecks (CPU, memory, network, database) and provide actionable recommendations to engineering teams.
Establish frameworks for continuous performance testing within the CI/CD pipeline.
Generate detailed performance reports and present findings to both technical and executive audiences.
Qualifications
Experience: 15+ years of dedicated experience in performance engineering, load testing, and system tuning.
Industry Expertise: Proven track record within the financial technology, banking, or large-scale transactional systems space.
Tooling Proficiency: Expert-level mastery of industry-standard performance tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner, NeoLoad, or Gatling).
Technical Deep-Dive: Strong experience with APM tools (e.g., Dynatrace, Datadog, New Relic) and log analysis tools (e.g., Splunk, ELK stack).
Infrastructure Knowledge: Deep understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), microservices architecture, and containerized environments (Kubernetes, Docker).
Education/Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Relevant cloud or performance engineering certifications are highly desirable.
