Responsibilities
Infrastructure Delivery & Lifecycle Management
Manage multiple concurrent IT infrastructure projects, overseeing delivery from initiation through completion across compute, storage, and network domains.
Coordinate cross-functional technical teams to deliver hardware modernizations, software upgrades, legacy migrations, and system asset lifecycle management.
Establish and monitor critical infrastructure dependencies across staging and production environments, aligning execution with corporate change and release management boundaries.
Assess technical project issues, isolate operational bottlenecks, and formulate targeted resolutions to preserve system availability and service continuity.
Project Planning, Governance & Reporting
Develop and maintain comprehensive project charters, integrated project plans, Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), and schedules utilizing expert-level Microsoft Project configurations.
Direct project financial planning, monitor operational resource allocation, and track budget forecasts to ensure on-time, cost-effective program delivery.
Author, maintain, and log highly organized technical artifacts, including project plans, detailed test cases, quality checklists, and active RAID (Risks, Actions, Issues, Dependencies) registers.
Provide multi-level status updates, transforming complex engineering milestones into clear, business-oriented presentations for steering committees and senior management.
Vendor Governance & Strategic Collaboration
Lead contract negotiations, support corporate procurement procedures, and actively manage vendor partners and cross-functional technology suppliers.
Partner directly with Enterprise Architecture and Security squads to ensure all implemented hardware and network topologies conform to corporate standards.
Facilitate focus groups, technical architecture reviews, and post-project lessons-learned sessions to champion continuous process improvement and adopt modern automation trends.
Qualifications
Core Requirements & Project Experience
Professional Delivery Tenure: Extensive experience leading technical teams through the development, deployment, and post-mortem evaluation of multi-tier IT infrastructure projects.
Regulated Domain Acumen: Proven background delivering systems within heavily regulated industries or critical corporate infrastructure environments.
Mandatory Professional Designation: Active, current Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or an equivalent verified combination of quantitative education and work experience.
Education: Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
Matrix Environment Fluidity: Highly proficient operating within matrix project structures using enterprise planning software (MS Project, SharePoint, Confluence, Jira, and standard office suites).
Technical Infrastructure Capabilities
Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI): Foundational knowledge of modern HCI platforms (specifically Nutanix or equivalent solutions), including architecture, deployment, and structural migration considerations.
