Take ownership of the end-to-end testing lifecycle, including preparing, reviewing, and executing highly detailed manual test cases for complex web applications.
Perform deep-dive backend validation and data verification by writing and executing MS SQL queries.
Utilize Jira to log defects, track issue resolutions, manage test cycles, and collaborate transparently with development teams.
Analyze business requirements and technical specifications to identify potential edge cases and security vulnerabilities within financial software modules.
Collaborate within a Microsoft .NET development environment and interface with version control systems like Git to align testing efforts with release branches.
Qualifications
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Experience: Greater than 8 years of professional experience dedicated strictly to QA Manual Testing.
- Core Tools: Advanced proficiency using Jira for defect tracking and Excel for test data management and reporting.
- Database Skills: Strong practical knowledge of MS SQL for backend testing, data verification, and querying.
Desired Skills & Experience (Nice-to-Have):
- Domain Expertise: Previous experience or strong knowledge in Banking, Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Payment Systems, or Financial Application testing/development.
- Ecosystem & Version Control: Familiarity or preferred experience working within a Microsoft .NET environment and utilizing Git.
- Automation Exposure: Hands-on experience or familiarity with test automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium or Cucumber is considered a strong asset.
