      Are you a CPA-designed Cost accountant who has 3+ years of job costing experience and the ability to build strong relationships with internal business partners?Do you love the idea of joining a well-established, growing manufacturing organization and working closely with the Controller? Advantages• Excellent base salary• Comprehensive health and dental plan• RRSP match program• Flexible working hours• CPA due support and continuing education supportResponsibilitiesReporting to the Controller, your duties and responsibilities will include;• Respond to costing queries and prepare explanations and analysis where required• Review estimates of material, labour, equipment, and subcontractor costs for jobs• Review job costing and support the Project Managers and attend weekly production meetings to gain further insight on job process and status• Review and analyze the daily input of hourly timesheets, bills of material, and material sheets as they are processed to the job• Prepare and distribute monthly variance reports and perform WIP calculations for all jobs• Provide management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting process and probability of products and services• Analyze monthly plant costs versus history and budget• Assist in the determination of new labour and overhead rates as required• Assist with month-end and year-end processes as required• Support the Financial Controller with the annual budgeting process• Maintain accurate inventory management systems (waste, account balances, item standards); analyze cycle counts, ending inventory balances, and perform formal accounts reconciliations to ensure proper inventory and material usages• Coordinate the cycle counting, annual physical inventory process and perform analysis and reconciliations• Item Costing – monitor and analyze variations in item costing• Ad hoc projects as assignedQualifications• CPA designation pursuing• A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Cost Accountant• Experience with Microsoft Navision or a similar ERP software system• The ability to work well independently and as part of a team• Experience partnering with production and estimators in regards to job costingSummaryIf this role sounds like a great match for your skills, experience, and fit, please apply today or share with a friend!Randstad Canada is committed to building a diverse workforce reflective of the diversity of Canada.
