Update and refine the Preparation Ledger to streamline data release, field mapping, and structural verification between core modules.
Period-End Optimization & Public Reporting
Configure and deploy the Advanced Financial Closing tool, collaborating with financial teams to develop a unified closing cockpit for accelerated reporting.
Facilitate year-end closing activities, providing user guidance for executing consolidation tasks and resolving complex interface anomalies.
Develop specific financial reports and statement structures that strictly conform to Public Sector Accounting Board (PSAB) reporting requirements.
Design specific ledger views, including Statements of Financial Position, Operations, Remeasurement Gains and Losses, Changes in Net Debt, and Tangible Capital Assets.
Testing, Governance & Operations Support
Partner with Business Process Leads and vendor squads to inform the design, development, and integration of the SAP environment with external systems.
Author and update highly organized functional specifications, system design workbooks, configuration blueprints, and technical decision logs.
Provide expert support for the record-to-report (R2R) lifecycle, triaging support tickets, executing root-cause diagnostics, and managing defect resolutions.
Support project management offices in prioritizing post-go-live backlogs and validating proposed platform enhancements against industry best practices.
Qualifications
Core SAP & Functional Requirements
Enterprise ERP Tenure: 10+ years of progressive, hands-on experience in large project and program environments, implementing complex ERP tracks within public sector jurisdictions or large private corporations.
Full-Lifecycle Implementations: Proven track record delivering at least two (2) end-to-end SAP implementations, with a strong preference for at least one delivery within a public sector or municipal ecosystem.
Group Reporting Expertise: Extensive experience designing, configuring, and implementing SAP S/4HANA Group Reporting, specifically managing data collections, Preparation Ledgers, and complex intercompany eliminations.
Advanced Closing Tools: Demonstrated success executing at least two (2) end-to-end implementations of the SAP Advanced Financial Closing platform utility.
