Responsibilities
Act as a servant leader to coach and guide cross-functional squads in applying Scrum, Kanban, and XP frameworks.
Facilitate core Agile rituals including release planning, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups.
Proactively identify, track, and remove impediments preventing delivery teams from achieving their goals.
Track team delivery metrics, velocity, and health to drive continuous process refinement.
Mediate balance between technical excellence, quality standards, and product roadmap priorities.
Partner with Product Owners to help maintain a healthy, well-refined product backlog.
Build trust, foster open dialogue, and resolve conflicts constructibly within the team dynamics.
Collaborate with project and IT leaders to align delivery priorities across broader enterprise initiatives.
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum 8 years of dedicated experience as a Scrum Master within software engineering environments (10+ years in Agile product development preferred).
Certifications: Recognized Scrum Master certification (e.g., PSM I, CSM). Additional Agile or SAFe credentials are a strong plus.
Agile Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Agile practices, continuous improvement models, and experience scaling frameworks (e.g., SAFe).
Tooling: Highly proficient with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence).
Technical Familiarity: Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Experience or familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, REST/SOAP APIs, test automation, GitHub, and Jenkins is highly advantageous.
Soft Skills: Exceptional interpersonal, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills with a proactive and adaptable mindset.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
Our client operates in Canada. The company takes all reasonable steps to limit the number of positions in Quebec that require knowledge of a language other than French, and only requires it when necessary and its existing bilingual employees are unable to perform these duties. Based on an assessment conducted by our client, it has been determined that this position requires candidates to be fluent in English (both spoken and written).
