In this high-visibility strategic role, you will provide oversight, governance, and independent challenge for high- and medium-severity issues tied to regulatory exams, internal audits, and operational risk management. You will partner across lines of defense to evaluate technology infrastructure and application finding remediations, ensuring robust control design and operating effectiveness. Operating in a fast-paced environment, you will validate issue remediation, analyze root causes, and advise senior technology leadership on GRC frameworks, control standards, and continuous improvement methods.
Position Type: 6-Month Contract (09/21/2026 to 03/20/2027; strong potential for extension or permanent conversion)
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (Currently 2 days per week on-site at the corporate office, expanding to 4 days on-site)

Governance & Practice Optimization: Contribute to mature risk practices by enhancing risk identification, control design, and operating effectiveness across technology infrastructure and applications.
Executive Insights & Trend Analysis: Identify emerging security themes and industry trends, delivering specialized risk management advice and governance reporting to senior leadership.
Process Automation & Continuous Improvement: Lead continuous improvement projects utilizing Lean/Agile methods and digital automation tools (e.g., Service-Now, Power BI, Python, or AI/ML utilities) to streamline risk workflows.
Qualifications
IT Risk & GRC Depth: 10+ years of dedicated experience as an IT Risk Specialist with deep expertise in governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) management within highly regulated industries.
Audit & Testing Competency: Formal training or demonstrated competency in audit testing techniques, evidence evaluation, issue remediation validation, root cause analysis, and control operating effectiveness assessments.
Exceptional Communication Skills: Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities, with a strong track record of influencing cross-functional stakeholders and conveying complex risk concepts clearly.
Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and sharp analytical skills to critically evaluate complex technical control documentation and audit evidence.
Preferred Assets & Certifications
Professional risk, audit, or security certifications: CISA, CRISC, CIA, CISSP, or equivalent.
Hands-on experience working with ServiceNow GRC modules.
Background in Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
Exposure to AI Security, AI Risk frameworks, or emerging automation technology tools.
