Responsibilities
In this role, you will lead detailed requirement phases and manage crucial documentation workstreams. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
•Requirements Gathering & Analysis: Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, developers, and technical architects to elicit, define, and document clear functional and technical requirements.
•Comprehensive Documentation: Create and maintain requirements specifications, functional designs, detailed process flows, and business process maps (current and future states).
•Operational Runbooks & Guides: Author step-by-step operational procedures, troubleshooting guides, and system maintenance runbooks for post-launch stability.
•User Readiness & Training: Develop comprehensive end-user guides and training materials to support business teams during system adoption.
•Stakeholder & Change Management: Act as a critical communication bridge between business partners and IT teams; facilitate sessions, align expectations, and assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) design where needed.
•Project Governance: Proactively identify project risks, map mitigation strategies, and manage issues logs to keep the modernization initiative on schedule.
Qualifications
Must-Have Qualifications:
•Experience: 5 to 10+ years of dedicated experience as a Business Analyst, with a proven track record of working on complex technology implementation or system modernization projects.
•Industry Domain Knowledge: Robust background in Financial Services, specifically within Fund Administration, Fund Accounting, or Derivatives trading/operations. You must understand derivatives and fund workflows to capture requirements accurately.
•Documentation Mastery: Expert-level capability in using MS Visio for process mapping, alongside advanced proficiency in the MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
•Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
•Soft Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, a high level of attention to detail, strong conflict-resolution capabilities, and comfort navigating ambiguity.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
•Professional Designation: Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or similar BA designation.
•System Experience: Hands-on experience with legacy or modern derivatives platforms, trading systems, NAV calculation software, or portfolio management tools.
•Testing & Delivery: Experience designing and leading User Acceptance Testing (UAT) cycles.
•Change Management: Prior exposure to structured organizational change management methodologies during large-scale platform migrations.
