Analytical Modeling: Author key architectural diagrams and models, including context diagrams, use case models, process maps, stakeholder maps, and comprehensive systems diagrams.
Business Case Engineering: Formulate robust business strategies, author formal business cases, perform cost-benefit analyses, and conduct detailed options analyses and feasibility studies.
Process Re-engineering: Apply advanced re-engineering concepts to optimize business workflows, promoting alternative, sustainable, and cost-effective service delivery approaches.
Enterprise Alignment: Conduct business, conceptual/logical data, and data flow modeling, ensuring all deliverables align with Enterprise Architecture standards and standard Systems Development Methodologies.
Project Governance: Create and maintain requirements traceability matrices, define non-functional requirements, monitor project progress, and regularly report quality metrics to I&IT management.
Standardization: Develop, advise on, and implement business analysis policies, processes, and best practices to ensure a highly consistent standard of practice across the organization.
Qualifications
Core Seniority: 7+ years of progressive experience leading and conducting business analysis for complex, large-scale IT and business transformation initiatives.
Visual Modeling Mastery: Proven, hands-on experience developing advanced architectural artifacts, including context diagrams, use cases, process/stakeholder maps, and systems diagrams.
Strategic Financial Acumen: Demonstrated expertise writing formal enterprise business cases, navigating cost-benefit parameters, and executing structured options analyses.
Methodological Expertise: Strong knowledge of structured, object-oriented, and Agile methodologies for user requirements gathering and system scope management.
Tools & Infrastructure: Experience using Computer-Aided Software Engineering (CASE) tools to capture conceptual requirements alongside basic information retrieval packages.
Compliance Standards: Familiarity with Information Management principles and compliance mandates, such as the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).
Professional Skills: Elite analytical, negotiation, and decision-making capabilities, with a proven track record of managing competing priorities and meeting strict project milestones.
