Responsibilities
Requirements Elicitation & Workshop Leadership: Lead and facilitate requirements workshops, JAD sessions, and stakeholder interviews to gather, analyze, and document complex data, system, and business requirements.
Process Modeling & Swimlane Diagrams: Create detailed visual workflows, process maps, context diagrams, and swimlane diagrams using Visio, Lucidchart, Miro, and Figma to identify automation opportunities and optimize business processes.
Agile Deliverable & Story Definition: Author well-defined use cases, user stories, and clear acceptance criteria; manage and track requirements within Azure DevOps, Jira, and Confluence across iterative development cycles.
Stakeholder & Vendor Liaison: Act as a central bridge between business subject matter experts, software engineering teams, QA leads, and external vendors to build consensus and align project goals.
Data Analysis & SQL Querying: Perform database analysis and utilize SQL queries, advanced Excel, and data visualization tools to support data-driven decision-making and data modeling.
Systems Re-Engineering & Optimization: Analyze current-state systems to propose re-engineering solutions, workflow enhancements, and business process improvements.
Quality Assurance & UAT Validation: Collaborate with QA specialists to build traceability matrices and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate system functionality against documented business rules.
Business Documentation & Governance: Prepare comprehensive business cases, feasibility studies, options analyses, and executive briefing notes adhering to organizational governance standards.
Qualifications
Data & Business Requirements Management: Proven experience gathering, analyzing, and documenting complex data, system, and business requirements (Strictly Required).
Process Modeling & Swimlane Diagrams: Demonstrated expertise in process modeling using Visio diagrams, swimlane workflows, and process mapping tools (Strictly Required).
Use Cases, User Stories & Acceptance Criteria: Strong ability to define detailed use cases, user stories, and acceptance criteria for IT solutions (Strictly Required).
Stakeholder Facilitation & Vendor Liaison: Proven ability to effectively liaise between business users, IT teams, and external vendors, including leading workshops and JAD sessions (Strictly Required).
Collaboration & Visual Tooling: Hands-on experience with requirements tracking tools (Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps) and workflow visualization platforms (Visio, Lucidchart, Miro, Figma) (Strictly Required).
Nice-to-Have Assets:
Prior business analysis experience within a public sector or broader public sector environment.
Proficiency in SQL querying, database analysis, or data visualization tools (Power BI, Advanced Excel).
