As a senior data analyst, you will bridge the gap between complex datasets and strategic business intelligence. Operating within a hybrid model, you will perform data assessments, map critical data sources, document structural findings, and support the end-to-end design and engineering of high-visibility KPI dashboards. This role requires an analytical expert who excels at data profiling, process mapping, and translating raw product metrics into clear, actionable business insights.
Location: Vancouver, BC (Hybrid - 4 days/week in-office)
Contract Duration: 6 months (with a likely possibility of extension)

Responsibilities
KPI Operationalization: Establish and operationalize robust product data quality KPIs, working in close coordination with centralized reporting and business intelligence teams.
Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate alignment across cross-functional partners to evaluate business priorities and determine core data quality metrics.
Data Rule Engineering: Support the creation, testing, and validation of data quality rules alongside the thorough documentation of structural data management processes.
Dashboard Functionality Testing: Validate backend data connectivity, measure visualization accuracy, and perform functional user testing on specialized dashboards.
Workshop & Training Delivery: Support and co-facilitate interactive technical workshops and software training sessions to enable smooth platform adoption for business users.
Data Stewardship & Cleansing: Assist with target data cleansing, profiling activities, and data migration efforts to guarantee overall structural integrity across system workstreams.
Source Mapping & Documentation: Investigate complex business architectures to identify original data sources, document data anomalies, and formulate detailed technical solution summaries.
Qualifications
Core Technical & Data Requirements
Professional Analytics Tenure: 5+ years of progressive data analysis experience, with a strong background in business analysis, accounting, corporate engineering, or management consulting environments.
Dashboard & Tooling Expertise: Advanced, hands-on experience building visualizations in Power BI coupled with expert-level proficiency handling complex formulas and data processing within MS Excel.
Database & Scripting Skills: Functional capability writing queries in SQL or managing structured data architectures; hands-on exposure or familiarity with Python is considered a strong asset.
Industry Sector Acumen: Foundational understanding of operational cycles, supply chains, or data structures within the product and apparel retail industries is considered an asset.
Methodologies & Soft Skills
Business Facing Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a heavy focus on eliciting requirements and facilitating alignment with corporate business units.
Analytical Problem Solving: Superior critical thinking and analytical capabilities to diagnose data gaps, establish traceability, and optimize performance metrics.
