Responsibilities
What You Will Do (The Strategic Impact):
As a key member of this lean, high-impact team, you will operate with a high degree of autonomy to translate massive data sets into executive strategy.
- Commercial Business Partnering: Collaborate directly with senior business leaders across Sales, Marketing, and Operations to lead annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and long-term planning.
- Real Estate & Contract Analysis: Provide specialized financial planning and analytical support for the organization’s massive commercial real estate portfolio, ensuring tight alignment with contract compliance and lease accounting standards.
- Scenario & Capital Modeling: Build and stress-test advanced, multi-variable financial models to evaluate "Option A vs. Option B" for major commercial investments, procurement initiatives, and pricing strategies.
- Dashboard & Systems Innovation: Develop, enhance, and maintain sophisticated performance dashboards (using Power BI or Tableau) to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and drive EBITDA performance.
- The Strategic Translator: Act as the direct conduit between the business units and core corporate Finance teams, converting financial metrics into clear, non-technical business recommendations.
Qualifications
Who You Are:
Because this team operates in a lean, fast-paced environment, we are targeting an established finance professional who can run completely independently from Day 1.
- The SFA Tenure: Minimum 4+ years of progressive experience operating specifically at the Senior Financial Analyst level in a complex, corporate FP&A or commercial finance environment. Please note: This role is designed for an experienced analyst approaching manager readiness and is not suitable for candidates looking to make the step from Financial Analyst to SFA.
- The Communication Mastery: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. You must be comfortable challenging assumptions, building trust with non-finance partners, and presenting insights directly to executive leadership.
- The Accounting Foundation: A completed CPA designation is strongly preferred due to the commercial real estate and accounting components of the portfolio. (Candidates actively pursuing their CPA will be considered if they bring exceptional, hands-on commercial FP&A experience).
- The Educational Background: University degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related analytical discipline.
- The Analytical Toolset: Advanced Excel mastery (financial modeling, scenario forecasting, Power Query) combined with proven experience building visual reports in modern BI tools (Power BI / Tableau).
The Technical X-Factor (Strong Asset): Experience with, or exposure to, Python, Office Scripts, VBA, or SQL is considered a significant asset to help manage and modify the team’s highly sophisticated automated forecasting models.
Industry Context: Prior experience supporting retail, commercial leasing, real estate, consumer goods (CPG), transportation, logistics, or similarly complex, multi-stakeholder operational environments.
