Responsibilities
QA Strategy & Auditing: Execute QA strategies established by the Director of Quality Assurance. Audit business requirement documents for quality, adherence to standard terms, and process integrity.
Test Planning & Design: Develop comprehensive QA plans for capital projects and operating initiatives. Lead the development of functional, regression, and usability test scenarios and data.
Execution & Oversight: Lead manual and automated testing efforts. Plan and coordinate end-to-end business process testing sessions with internal resources and business users.
Risk Management: Review project charters, schedules, and process documentation to identify systemic risks and areas for improvement. Assess quality risks based on validation results and provide mitigation recommendations.
Defect & Traceability Management: Manage a full-cycle defect recording process using standard tools (Azure DevOps). Maintain the Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM) to ensure 100% coverage.
UAT Coordination: Facilitate and assist business users through User Acceptance Testing (UAT) cycles to ensure the solution meets functional and operational needs.
Operational Readiness: Support change management, training, go-live, and post-implementation activities. Conduct occasional site visits within the transit network to validate system functionality in real-world environments.
Qualifications
Core Experience: Minimum 10 years of senior-level QA experience, specifically in major IT implementations.
SAP Expertise: Mandatory 5+ years of experience in QA test planning, design, and execution specifically within SAP implementations.
Technical Proficiency: Expert hands-on knowledge of Azure DevOps for requirements and test management. Proficiency in MS Office tools is required.
Test Automation: Experience with Tricentis automation tools (Tosca) is highly desirable to expedite project delivery.
Education: Post-secondary education in a related discipline; QA certifications (e.g., ISTQB) or ITIL are considered assets.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of liaising between technical teams and senior business stakeholders.
Asset Skills: Previous experience in the Public Service or Transit industry; CBAP certification is a plus.
