Responsibilities
QA Leadership & Oversight: Guide and mentor junior testing personnel while planning, organizing, and managing end-to-end testing streams for enterprise public health solutions.
Test Strategy & Documentation: Author comprehensive test plans, test cases, use cases, automated scripts, and defect tracking reports across functional, non-functional, and regression testing phases.
BI & Reporting Validation: Test bug fixes, core system updates, and data accuracy across Business Objects (BO) and Cognos reporting solutions, analytical dashboards, and data integration pipelines.
API & Interface Testing: Validate RESTful and HL7-FHIR web services, messaging interfaces, and COTS solution extensions using tools such as Postman, SOAP-UI, and Rational ClearQuest.
Automation & Scripting: Design, build, and execute automated test scripts utilizing frameworks such as Selenium to support continuous testing and release workflows.
Database & SQL Querying: Execute ad-hoc SQL queries and utilize information retrieval tools to create test datasets, validate backend database structures, and verify data consistency.
Security & Accessibility Compliance: Perform security testing (validating SAML and JWT components) and accessibility testing conforming to WCAG 2.0 / AODA requirements.
Defect Lifecycle Management: Identify, document, and track software defects using platforms like Jira, Confluence, or TestRail, leading triage sessions with development and product leads.
Qualifications
Enterprise QA Leadership: Minimum 7+ years of experience as a lead Systems Testing/QA Specialist planning, coordinating, and executing full lifecycle testing streams (Strictly Required).
BI & Reporting Testing: 7+ years of experience testing business intelligence solutions, ad-hoc reports, and dashboards (e.g., Cognos, Business Objects) (Strictly Required).
API & Web Services Validation: Proven hands-on experience testing RESTful/HL7-FHIR web services, APIs, and security authentication protocols (SAML, JWT) using tools like Postman or SOAP-UI (Strictly Required).
Automation & Scripting: Demonstrated experience creating and running automated test scripts using frameworks such as Selenium (Strictly Required).
SQL Querying & Backend Testing: Solid proficiency with information retrieval packages, complex SQL queries, and ad-hoc query writing for backend data validation (Strictly Required).
