Responsibilities
Script Development: Author, refine, and sustain automated testing suites utilizing Java and Kotlin.
Strategic Ownership: Advance and champion the mobile automated testing roadmap, focusing on maximizing coverage, accuracy, and deployment speed.
Framework Architecture: Optimize test automation frameworks (such as Appium) and seamlessly embed them into CI/CD workflows.
Device Management: Orchestrate test runs across a wide spectrum of operating system versions and hardware configurations using both physical devices and emulators/simulators.
Root Cause Analysis: Evaluate test outcomes, debug system anomalies, pinpoint defects, and liaise with developers to implement swift resolutions.
Quality Documentation: Author comprehensive test strategies, validation scripts, execution summaries, and standardized automation protocols.

Qualifications
A minimum of 5 years of hands-on software quality engineering experience, specifically focused on test automation for mobile environments.
Demonstrated history of successfully validating native mobile applications (iOS and Android).
Strong coding proficiency in Java and/or Kotlin.
In-depth, practical knowledge of mobile test frameworks, with a heavy emphasis on Appium.
Familiarity with continuous integration tools tailored for mobile builds (e.g., Bitrise, GitHub Actions).
Solid track record operating within Agile/Scrum cross-functional teams.
Our client operates in Canada. The company takes all reasonable steps to limit the number of positions in Quebec that require knowledge of a language other than French, and only requires it when necessary and its existing bilingual employees are unable to perform these duties. Based on an assessment conducted by our client, it has been determined that this position requires candidates to be fluent in English (both spoken and written).
