You will manage the end-to-end lifecycle of the implementation across upstream and downstream modules, from initial process mapping and configuration to supplier onboarding and post-go live hypercare. The ideal candidate is a certified Ariba expert capable of navigating multi-layered integrations, mitigating process risks, and leading business teams through highly integrated technical changes.
Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid – 2 to 3 days per week onsite)

Responsibilities
Solution Architecture Alignment: Guide the functional design and deployment of a comprehensive Ariba suite, ensuring full process harmony with the broader SAP S/4HANA ecosystem.
Module Leadership: Drive configuration and deployment activities across Ariba Sourcing, Contracts, Buying & Invoicing, Supplier Lifecycle & Performance (SLP), and Spend Analysis.
Roadmap Modernization: Support the strategic adoption, enablement, and rollout of Ariba NextGen capabilities.
Process Engineering: Elicit requirements for end-to-end source-to-pay (S2P) cycles; build functional specifications, workflow configurations, and identify operational process gaps or risks.
Integration & Data Migration: Partner with technical teams to facilitate smooth data migration, master data mapping, CIG/Managed Gateway integrations, and robust system-interface testing.
User Acceptance & Onboarding: Guide business units through comprehensive UAT cycles that reflect real-world procurement workflows. Coordinate supplier enablement and onboarding playbooks.
Governance & Delivery: Review all project documentation (blueprints, design records, testing scripts) to ensure alignment with defined scope, architecture principles, and change control procedures.
Cutover & Hypercare: Provide hands-on leadership during core project cutover planning, operational readiness assessments, and post-implementation stabilization (hypercare).
Qualifications
Core Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in procurement technology or SAP Ariba solution leadership.
Hands-on Implementation: Mandatory 5+ years of direct experience configuring, implementing, and supporting Ariba Upstream and Downstream modules (Sourcing, Contracts, Buying & Invoicing, SLP, Spend Analysis).
Certification: Mandatory SAP Ariba Certification in one or more core modules.
Systems Integration: Major system implementation history with a strong conceptual and practical understanding of how Ariba integrates into backend ERP structures (ideally SAP S/4HANA).
Tooling & Agile: Experience using Azure DevOps (or similar) for tracking requirements, configuration sprints, and release management. High proficiency in MS Office tools.
Soft Skills: Superior written and verbal communication skills; strong problem-solving capabilities with a history of driving consensus among varied business units.
Education: Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g., Supply Chain, Information Systems, Business Administration).
Nice-to-Have Skills
Prior experience within the Public Service, Transit, or Transportation sector.
SAP S/4HANA financial or procurement module certifications.
Formal governance or process framework certifications (such as ITIL).
Deep technical familiarity with Ariba integration tools, cloud integration gateways, and workflow automation.
