...
The OBL Technology division is responsible for supporting the core warehouse and omni-channel infrastructure that retrieves shipping labels and tracking data from global carrier networks (e.g., FedEx, USPS, Canada Post). The team also owns the front-end interface providing international stores visibility into incoming cartons and powers advanced "Ship from Store" capabilities across North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific regions.
In this role, you will apply structured project management methodologies to lead complex, cross-functional project workstreams through the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). This is a heavily technical execution role where you will act as a bridge between engineering teams, architects, product owners, and regional business groups to ensure seamless code deployment and system reliability.
Desired Start Date: June 29, 2026
Duration: 6-Month Contract (With a high likelihood of extension)
Location: Hybrid Vancouver (4 days per week on-site at the Vancouver, BC headquarters)
Hours: 40 hours per week
Advantages
Elite Global Retail Footprint: Gain direct, high-visibility delivery experience with an industry-leading, globally admired brand.
Complex Omni-Channel Tech Stack: Drive large-scale technical projects that directly optimize warehouse logistics, supply chain routing, and worldwide customer fulfillment networks.
End-to-End Ownership: Run both Agile scrum frameworks and macro release management, serving as the central technical authority for global software delivery.
Vibrant and People-First Culture: Join an innovative, collaborative corporate environment that values entrepreneurship, psychological safety, and continuous professional growth.
Responsibilities
Technical Project Delivery: Manage the end-to-end delivery of multiple technically complex projects, tracking cross-functional dependencies, scope boundaries, schedules, and quality gates from inception through rollout.
Scrum & Release Ownership: Facilitate core Scrum ceremonies (Daily Standups, Sprint Planning, Retrospectives) for a federated team of engineers and analysts, while acting as the formal release management owner for deployment cycles.
Technical Troubleshooting: Serve as a deep technical bridge between people, programs, and products; dive directly into code logic, data flows, and architectural blockers to ensure fast problem resolution.
Resource & Vendor Governance: Direct project-related resource capacity planning, line up quarterly roadmap commitments with available team engineering velocity, and manage third-party software and logistics vendors.
Global Collaboration: Partner with technology managers and internal/external stakeholders across diverse global operating regions (North America, EMEA, APAC, and China) to keep solutions aligned with localized market timelines.
Process Best Practices: Enforce strict SDLC standards, maintain high-fidelity project documentation, manage capital expenditures (CapEx), and communicate project health statuses and delivery risks transparently to leadership.
Qualifications
Experience: 10+ years working in a software engineering or corporate technology field, with a minimum of 5 years spent in dedicated technical project/program management roles.
Logistics Expertise: A strong functional preference for candidates possessing deep experience with logistics, carrier integrations, or supply chain applications.
Methodological Versatility: Expert knowledge of the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) across Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery models.
Architectural Literacy: Proven ability to read and understand complex technical software architecture, database schemas, and microservice data flows.
Financial Oversight: Hands-on experience managing project capital budgets up to or exceeding $1M, including accurate financial forecasting.
Global Operations: A proven track record working inside global corporate structures alongside remote engineering squads distributed across different time zones (e.g., India, North America, Europe).
Release & Hypercare Management: Direct experience driving software deployment strategies, continuous integration pipelines, change governance, and post-go-live hypercare support.
Education: Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Management, or equivalent technical delivery training.
Soft Skills: Outstanding leadership skills with the ability to influence cross-functional peers in the absence of direct authority; highly comfortable navigating ambiguous environments and shifting operational priorities.
