Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Test Lead to oversee comprehensive testing activities across multiple streams and cross-functional teams. In this role, you will define and manage the overall test strategy, design detailed test plans, and ensure the flawless execution of end-to-end, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT). Acting as a hands-on leader, you will collaborate with cross-functional technical teams, manage defect lifecycles, and drive the quality assurance standards necessary for large-scale enterprise and retail transformations.

Location: Toronto, ON (Onsite, 5 days per week)
Work Requirements: Full-time onsite presence to foster collaboration and provide leadership during fast-moving initiatives; flexibility to support extended hours and weekends during critical deployment events and cutover execution is required.
Contract Duration: Initial contract based on project milestones, subject to extension based on remaining contract value, unused days, and operational requirements.

Responsibilities
Test Strategy & Planning: Define, manage, and execute the overall technical test strategy and detailed test plans covering functional, SIT, performance, regression, and UAT phases.
Team & Resource Management: Plan, monitor, and supervise the activities of system testers and specialized resources handling test data, environment management, automation, and performance testing.
Defect & Triage Management: Establish defect management processes utilizing Jira, ALM, or Octane; facilitate defect triage sessions between development and testing teams to ensure prompt resolution.
Cross-Team Coordination: Coordinate day-to-day testing deliverables between onsite, near-shore, and off-shore teams, as well as third-party vendors and architecture leads.
Requirements Analysis: Review and analyze complex functional, technical, and non-functional requirements to build comprehensive risk-based test cases and manual positive/negative scripts.
Stakeholder & Progress Reporting: Provide regular, high-level status updates, metrics, and test results to project managers and key stakeholders, handling escalations and delivering final product readiness sign-offs.
Environment & Tool Support: Assist with the setup and management of test environments, while prescribing high-quality corporate standards for testing tools, scripts, and documentation framework.
Qualifications
Must-Haves & Mandatory Requirements:
5 to 8 years of experience leading business application and software testing in agile and structured environments using ALM and/or Octane.
Extensive experience creating Project Test Strategies/Plans covering functional, SIT, performance, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) phases.
Proven experience managing multiple testing streams and cross-functional teams simultaneously.
Hands-on experience working with one or more of the following platforms: SAP, Manhattan Active Warehouse Management (MAWM), Blue Yonder (BY) product suite, or GK POS.
Strong background in end-to-end testing, integration testing, defect management, and test execution using Jira.
Demonstrated experience leading testing for digital projects (native iOS/Android mobile app development, eCommerce, and API integrations).
Solid background integrating digital testing plans with the full CI/CD stack and DevOps tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub, Docker, Chef/Puppet) in cloud hosting environments.
Exceptional leadership, communication, multi-tasking, organizational, and budget/resource estimation skills.
