Responsibilities
Accurately fit and weld heavy structural steel components, including large-scale columns, industrial beams, and custom fabrications.
Interpret complex blueprints, shop drawings, and schematics to execute precise steel layouts and assembly.
Perform high-quality tack welding and staging to ensure a smooth, efficient workflow down the production line.
Operate advanced robotic welding machinery alongside traditional manual equipment (comprehensive training provided for new technologies).
Strictly adhere to all shop safety protocols, maintaining a clean workspace while collaborating seamlessly with fellow tradespeople.
Qualifications
Valid CWB FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding) certifications covering all positions.
Proven track record in structural blueprint reading, precise measurements, and complex steel layout.
Willingness and availability to take on evening/night schedules as production demands require.
A strong work ethic, exceptional punctuality, and a proactive, team-oriented mindset.
While seasoned Journeypersons are highly preferred, eager and dedicated apprentices are still strongly encouraged to apply.
