Responsibilities
Analyze complex business requirements, dependencies, and risks to establish actionable strategies for governance and data valuation.
Produce strategic deliverables, including reference frameworks, operational policies, process workflows, and accountability structures.
Define and align roles and responsibilities across business units, analytics teams, and enterprise IT divisions.
Design and deploy structured frameworks to assess, prioritize, monitor, and resolve data quality issues.
Embed modern data governance practices (metadata management, data lineage, semantic modeling, ownership) into data product lifecycles.
Facilitate cross-functional workshops and steering sessions with stakeholders across various organizational levels.
Champion and promote enterprise-wide adherence to data governance principles, standards, and best practices.
Qualifications
10+ years of progressive experience in data governance, data strategy, data quality, or data management.
Proven track record in designing, implementing, and operationalizing enterprise data governance models.
Strong understanding of modern data paradigms, including data product strategies, semantic layers, metadata, and data lineage.
Demonstrated ability to create clear, high-quality governance deliverables (RACI matrices, operational models, policies, action plans).
Expertise in workshop facilitation and managing relationships within complex, matrixed corporate environments.
Outstanding analytical skills, business acumen, and an ability to translate technical concepts for diverse audiences.
Experience within the investment, asset management, or financial services sector is considered a strong asset.
Fluency in both English and French.
Our client operates in Canada. The company takes all reasonable steps to limit the number of positions in Quebec that require knowledge of a language other than French, and only requires it when necessary and its existing bilingual employees are unable to perform these duties. Based on an assessment conducted by our client, it has been determined that this position requires candidates to be fluent in English (both spoken and written).
