Responsibilities
Data Governance & Cataloging: Facilitate collaborative workshops with business and IT stakeholders to discover, map, and establish a comprehensive data dictionary and inventory.
Cloud Architecture Support: Assist data engineering teams with pipeline development (ETL/ELT) and data integration strategies into Snowflake or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Analytics & AI Enablement: Partner with Data Science and AI specialists to structure and classify data, ensuring it is optimized for modeling, predictive analytics, and Power BI reporting.
Agile Collaboration: Actively participate in sprint planning, aligning with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and Project Managers to deliver high-quality data artifacts.
Data Stewardship: Promote and enforce data governance standards, ensuring data quality, lineage, and accessibility across the organization.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree or College Diploma (DEC) in Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
Analytical Expertise: Proven track record in business process mapping and deep-dive data analysis.
Cloud Data Mastery (Essential): Strong professional experience or deep conceptual knowledge of either Snowflake or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Soft Skills: Outstanding communication, synthesis, and interpersonal skills; ability to work autonomously within a fast-paced team environment.
Assets: Prior experience within financial services or insurance; familiarity with Agile/SAFe frameworks; exposure to alternative modern data stacks like Databricks or Microsoft Fabric.
Our client operates in Canada. The company takes all reasonable steps to limit the number of positions in Quebec that require knowledge of a language other than French, and only requires it when necessary and its existing bilingual employees are unable to perform these duties. Based on an assessment conducted by our client, it has been determined that this position requires candidates to be fluent in English (both spoken and written).
