Responsibilities
- Make daily calls to customers in the assigned customer base and territory
- Developed the skills and experience necessary to sell air, sea, land freight, customs brokerage, contractual logistics, transshipment, and insurance services
- Receive all incoming sales requests (directly from clients or operations) for accounts that are not assigned to a representative in the YLCA CRM system
- Respond to customer requests as soon as possible
- Qualify the new accounts and inform the sales director if the prospect requires the involvement of the Field Sales department (according to predefined criteria)
- Research, research, develop and maintain its own portfolio in the YLCA CRM of clients, performing the necessary sales and service functions
- Ensure that all customer activities are recorded in the company’s CRM system and develop customer intelligence
- Promote the continuous commercial exploitation of existing clients, including the potential of the vertical market(s)
Qualifications
- Minimum of two years in the field or in internal sales or two years of operational experience
- Knowledge of logistics services, including air freight, sea freight, inland transport, customs and insurance
- Excellent written and verbal business communication skills to communicate with clients, overseas offices and colleagues
- Able to establish and maintain lasting relationships with the company’s departments, key business partners, and clients
- Ability to enter, retrieve, and analyze data
- Must be able to present themselves in a cooperative and professional manner to both internal and external clients and suppliers
- Very strong orientation towards customer service
- Ability to manage customer complaints and mediate disputes with customers
