You will be responsible for executing financial transactions, conducting Know Your Customer (KYC) checks, handling Anti-Money Laundering (AML) inquiries, and delivering exceptional service through both inbound and outbound customer interactions.
Location: Mississauga, Ontario (Hybrid: 4 days on-site / 1 day remote)
Position Type: Contract (8 Months, with potential for extension or permanent conversion)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $28.47 / hour

Responsibilities
Customer & Communication Support
Manage direct-to-customer communications (both inbound and outbound calls and email correspondence).
Respond to customer inquiries and handle requests related to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and compliance.
Interact with internal business partners and external clients in a professional, timely, and effective manner.
Resolve customer concerns and escalate complex processing or operational issues to the appropriate internal teams.
Operational & Regulatory Execution
Perform daily Know Your Customer (KYC) checks, accurately document findings, and maintain detailed records.
Execute transactions accurately and on time while adhering to strict Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and productivity metrics.
Collaborate closely with compliance and investigation teams to support regulatory requirements and enterprise frameworks.
Exercise discretion and maintain strict confidentiality when managing sensitive financial information and customer data.
Continuous Improvement & Analysis
Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve service delivery, and enhance operating models.
Apply due diligence in adherence with operating policies, procedures, and internal/industry regulations.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
Education: Post-Secondary degree or diploma required.
Experience: 5 to 7 years of experience in the banking or financial services industry.
Background: Proven experience conducting KYC checks and working within a call center or high-volume customer service/operations environment.
Solid experience handling sensitive financial information and client documentation.
Technical Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (advanced proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook).
Ability to quickly learn and adapt to proprietary software, banking systems, and regulatory platforms.
Soft Skills
Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with strong business acumen.
Critical Thinking: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.
Adaptability: Quick learner with a high degree of self-motivation and acute attention to detail.
Reliability: Strong work ethic with a demonstrated history of tenure and career stability.
Nice-to-Have
Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) certification.
Knowledge of trade processing or treasury products (e.g., Foreign Exchange spots/forwards, Money Market products) is a bonus.
