Our client, is seeking a versatile, technically minded Project Coordinator / Scrum Master to join their E-commerce and Shared Services IT division.
...
In this hybrid role, you will bridge the gap between traditional project management/coordination and Agile scrum mastery. Rather than focusing purely on rigid Agile frameworks, you will operate within a highly cross-functional, complex environment, managing dependencies across multiple product teams and platform verticals. This is a 6-month initial contract designed to drive momentum on fast-paced e-commerce initiatives, high-priority cross-team enhancements, and digital integrations.
Duration: 6-Month Contract
Location: Hybrid (2-3 days a week on-site at the Mississauga, ON corporate office)
Advantages
Multi-Faceted Leadership Role: Broaden your career by combining structured project governance with hands-on Agile scrum coaching.
High-Velocity Portfolio: Drive high-priority digital enhancement streams for a massive, enterprise-scale commercial e-commerce ecosystem.
Cross-Functional Visibility: Act as the primary technical connector, aligning priorities across multiple core application and infrastructure squads.
Collaborative Environment: Join a dynamic, fast-moving division that values adaptability, technical problem-solving, and proactive delivery.
Responsibilities
Cross-Functional Coordination: Act as the central connector to align, synchronize, and map dependencies across multiple interdependent product, application, database, and infrastructure teams (typically ranging from 3 to 7+ distinct groups).
Project Monitoring & Reporting: Track low-to-mid-sized projects and high-priority digital enhancement streams from inception to rollout; proactively identify system bottlenecks, highlight risks, and report clean status metrics to IT leadership.
Agile & Hybrid Facilitation: Facilitate standard sprint ceremonies (daily standups, sprint planning, retrospectives, backlog grooming) for product squads where applicable, while remaining flexible to support non-agile delivery frameworks.
Stakeholder Management: Serve as the front-facing operational contact to align various internal business and technical stakeholders, steering production conversations and pulling teams back on track when timelines drift.
Backlog & Asset Maintenance: Ensure project milestones, user stories, and collaboration workspaces are meticulously updated, organized, and tracked.
Qualifications
Experience: Proven professional experience operating as an Agile Project Manager, Technical Project Coordinator, or Scrum Master within a hybrid (Agile/Waterfall/Matrixed) enterprise corporate environment.
E-Commerce Domain Background: Strong foundational experience coordinating projects within the E-commerce, digital retail, or omni-channel delivery domains.
Technical Aptitude: A strong technical mindset and background to intelligently navigate complex application structures, cloud capabilities, and software dependencies.
Dependency Mapping Expertise: Exceptional capability in cross-team mapping; highly comfortable handling complex feature rollouts where a single delivery relies on multiple parallel internal engineering groups.
Project Management Tool Stack: Daily working proficiency utilizing Agile management tools (Jira and Confluence) to organize backlogs, structure sprints, and track team velocity metrics.
Soft Skills & Adaptability: Outstanding communication, organization, and interpersonal skills. Comfortable treating the "Scrum Master" title as a catch-all for technical delivery, seamlessly pivoting between facilitating a sprint and handling traditional project coordination documentation.
Nice-to-Have Skills & Assets
Formal Agile or Project Management certifications (e.g., CSM, PSM, CAPM, or PMP).
Functional exposure to data architectures, cloud databases, or customer data platforms (such as Data Cloud or Marketing Cloud integrations).
Summary
If you are an adaptable, tech-savvy Project Coordinator and Scrum Master who thrives on untangling cross-team dependencies and driving e-commerce initiatives across the finish line, this Mississauga-based mandate is a perfect match. Bring your Jira/Confluence discipline, hybrid project toolkit, and collaborative energy to a top-tier technology division today!
