Responsibilities
• Overall planning, coordination and governance of the Projects;
• Develop dashboards and reporting analytics to show progress;
• Oversee the application validation and testing and the development of solutions for application and peripheral compatibility issues;
• Oversee the procurement and financial tracking;
• Prime the issue escalation process;
• Create and manage an exception process for any standards deviation;
• Provide communications to the partners, stakeholders and users during the project;
• Manage the organization change associated with this project
• Manage, schedule, and coordinate all aspects of the project over the entire project life.
• Support an effective, proactive cross-functional project team that may consist of both management & non-management individuals in an environment that encourages innovation, teamwork, initiative, and open communications; promotes and models the corporate values. Recognize both personal and team success;
• Maintain a high level of competency in project management related disciplines;
• Lead project team members as required, in the successful project implementation, project planning, project management, coordination, change management & transition, and communications;
• Monitor and report project progress to the Director of Provincial Programs and other stakeholders;
• Communicate to all levels of stakeholders of project using an appropriate method of communication in a timely manner. Ensure a common understanding by setting expectations in accordance with the project plan, in order to align the stakeholders and team members;
• Provide delivery oversight to requirements gathering, detailed design and future state development;
• Issue management, escalation and tracking;
• Decision making support and tracking;
• Lead, direct and manage project staff to ensure the effective use of HR resources; Maximize performance by developing, mentoring and sustaining a high degree of expertise amongst project staff;
• Organize and direct work including prioritizing assignments, providing regular performance feedback and taking necessary corrective action as may be required;
• Other tasks & responsibilities as assigned/required by the Director, Provincial Programs
Qualifications
Mandatory Qualifications:
• Post-secondary degree in Business Administration or equivalent;
• Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience driving project management in a busy, multifaceted environment (data analytics or information technology setting is an asset);
• Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) designation.
Desired Qualifications:
• Experience in managing large scale IT software or infrastructure projects;
• Experience in organizational change management
• Demonstrated capability in managing vendors and ensuring accountability to contracts
• Experience working in a healthcare and/or research environment an asset.
