This is an opportunity to join a collaborative development environment supporting a variety of technology initiatives across Canada — from cloud application development and modernization to web and mobile applications.
If you're a strong Java + Angular developer who enjoys having an impact beyond simply writing code, this could be a great fit.
You'll be part of a collaborative team of approximately 18–20 people, working alongside developers and technology professionals across Toronto, Montreal and India.
Strong communication skills are important, particularly because you'll collaborate regularly with offshore development teams.
Candidates can be based in either Toronto or Montreal.
Important: 4 Days/week Onsite This role requires 4 days per week working from the office.

What You'll Work On
Depending on the project you join, you could be involved in initiatives such as:
Developing cloud application monitoring tools
Supporting the modernization and decommissioning of MuleSoft, replacing components with custom solutions on GCP
Building and enhancing web applications
Supporting mobile application development
Cloud and application modernization initiatives
Enterprise application development and integration
MuleSoft experience is an asset, but it is not required. Candidates from a variety of industries are welcome as long as they bring the required technical experience.
Responsibilities
What You'll Be Doing
As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll:
Design, develop and deploy Java, Spring/Spring Boot and Angular applications and services
Build full-stack solutions using Java on the backend and Angular on the frontend
Develop enterprise-class, mission-critical applications
Participate in architecture and design discussions for major components and subsystems
Lead and participate in code and design reviews
Develop and document technical designs for components, modules and subsystems
Collaborate with business leaders to understand strategic objectives and translate them into technical solutions
Help drive best practices, development standards, processes and tools
Provide technical direction and guidance to other developers
Participate in issue resolution and change-control processes
Work through the full software development lifecycle — from requirements and design through development, deployment and production support
Contribute to a fast-paced, collaborative development environment where quality and ownership matter
Qualifications
What We're Looking For
Required
5+ years of hands-on Java development experience
5+ years of Angular development experience
Strong full-stack development experience
Strong knowledge of:
Java
Spring / Spring Boot
Angular
TypeScript
JavaScript
HTML / CSS
RESTful Web Services
JSON / XML
Experience developing business applications and enterprise software
Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL or Oracle
Strong understanding of design patterns and SOA/Microservices architecture
Experience taking applications through the full development lifecycle
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a larger development team
Demonstrated ownership, accountability and strong work ethic
Cloud Experience
Experience with one or more of the following is highly valued:
Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
AWS
Microsoft Azure
Nice-to-Have Experience
The following would be an advantage:
MuleSoft
Git and version control
CI/CD pipelines, particularly Jenkins
Apache Tomcat, Nginx or similar application/web servers
Automated testing and regression testing tools such as JUnit, Jasmine or Karma
Open-source technologies
Security-focused software development
Cloud application development
Web and mobile application development
Experience working with distributed/offshore development teams
Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot
