Responsibilities
Heavy Steel Fabrication: Consistently produce flawless, multi-pass welds on oversized carbon steel components, structural support beams, and intricate architectural frameworks.
Strict Quality Compliance: Guarantee that every single bead and joint far exceeds stringent CWB standards and matches precise, highly complex engineering blueprints.
Tech Integration: Adapt and pivot between conventional manual welding techniques and modern, automated robotic manufacturing systems.
Collaborative Execution: Coordinate seamlessly with expert pipefitters, overhead crane operators, and shop supervisors to safely position and assemble extreme-tonnage steel.
Proactive Safety Leadership: Champion a zero-harm workplace by identifying potential hazards, maintaining a spotless workstation, and adhering to strict industrial safety protocols.
Qualifications
Certified Expertise: You must possess a Journeyperson Welder certificate.
Valid CWB Credentials: Active CWB FCAW/MCAW ticket covering a minimum of three positions is an absolute, non-negotiable requirement for this role.
Heavy Manufacturing Experience: We require a proven track record of excellence within high-volume commercial steel, industrial fabrication, or heavy-tonnage production environments.
Unwavering Work Ethic: You need exceptional physical endurance, strict punctuality, and the mental grit required to thrive in a demanding, fast-paced manufacturing shop.
