In this role, you will ensure internal control testing is effectively and efficiently conducted in alignment with Second Line of Defense requirements (Compliance, Risk, AML, etc.). Acting from the perspective of an agency recruiter, we are looking for a sharp, autonomous professional who can hit the ground running, manage high-stakes stakeholder relationships (including front office and traders), and seamlessly navigate the End-to-End Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) lifecycle.

Responsibilities
•Control Testing & Execution: Execute rigorous testing of key controls within established deadlines, applying standard organizational testing methodologies.
•RCSA Management: Assist with Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) documentation, engage risk partners in RCSA execution, and manage interim RCSA updates as operational risk events or issues arise.
•Inventory & Process Mapping: Assist with the creation and maintenance of Value Chain (VC), Assessable Unit (AU), and Unique Business Process (UBP) inventories.
•Gap Analysis & Remediation: Assess multiple processes concurrently to consolidate risks, eliminate duplication, identify control gaps, and support the business in developing robust action/remediation plans.
•Issue Tracking: Ensure testing exceptions are thoroughly analyzed, reported, and tracked to resolution, keeping a keen eye on root-cause themes.
•Stakeholder & Risk Support: Support the assessment of Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and collaborate closely with 2nd line functions to ensure compliance and alignment.
Qualifications
Required Criteria:
•Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent university education.
•Experience: 3 to 5+ years of relevant experience in Risk, Audit, Quality Control Testing, or Compliance.
•Core Expertise: Proven End-to-End Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) experience (pure operations experience will not suffice).
•Technical Skills: Advanced knowledge of governance, risk, and control procedures. Proficiency in MS Excel (advanced formulas), PowerPoint, Word, and Visio.
•Soft Skills: Exceptional oral and written communication skills with the confidence to interface effectively with front-office staff and traders; strong multitasking and prioritization skills to hit strict deadlines independently.
Nice-to-Have Criteria:
•Prior experience within wholesale banking/derivative operations.
•Experience utilizing Aris software for process mapping.
•Familiarity with major financial institution/bank testing methodologies.
