      Your challenge! Reporting to the General Manager, the Plant Manager (Succession Program) will work with the existing Plant Manager to participate in the supervision of plant activities to ensure operational objectives are met. You will participate in the implementation of processes, practices and tools specific to your unit to optimize operational efficiency while prioritizing health and safety. You also use your leadership skills to build a mobilized and competent team and support their production efforts while nurturing a culture of continuous improvement and health and safety. As a result, you will help achieve your unit's business objectives by positively influencing the adoption of healthy and safe behaviors, operating costs, performance, and production capacity and quality. As Cascades has a culture of succession development, we are looking for a Plant Manager who will be on a succession program. This person will be paired with an experienced manager to learn about Cascades operations and culture in order to eventually move into a Plant Manager position. The first mandate of the Plant Manager (succession program) will be to support the Victoriaville Boxboard Packaging Group plant team. The person must be available for relocation within 18-24 months to the group's plants in Quebec.Your responsibilities In collaboration with the Plant Manager in charge, the Plant Manager (succession program) will be called upon to support operations and take part in the following activities Manage all plant activities such as health and safety, human resources, finance, operations, customer relations and sales.Maintain the health and safety culture within the plant.Implement management systems to optimize activities and achieve established objectives in terms of innovation, efficiency, profitability and quality.Participate in the improvement of existing products and the development of new products in collaboration with the sales team.Ensure government and environmental compliance of operations.Develop and maintain an effective and committed management team. Your background and strengths The Plant Manager (Succession Program) must possess the following qualifications; Bachelor's degree in engineering or business administration or operations management;5 to 10 years experience in managing an industrial or manufacturing production unit;Experience in managing multidisciplinary teams;Be familiar with industry standard equipment and have technical expertise;Have good computer skills;Knowledge of ISO and GMP standards and Lean manufacturing certification (an asset);Have a mobilizing and unifying leadership and excellent communication skills;Be bilingual;Have a global vision and an innovative spirit. #revealyourpotential #LifeAtCascadesCascades believes in the success of an inclusive organization that values diversity within its team.
