The Division, which employs close to 3,400 people, owns six containerboard mills and nineteen corrugated products plants in Canada and the United States.Your challenge!Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, you will work with multifunctional teams of Human Resources and Finance to support the Cascades business objectives around employee engagement, onboarding, retention, payroll and benefits, recognition, safety, and training. You are the team's contact person for any technical or HR related questions and ensure the accuracy and reliability of the data integrated into the system. You  provide your team with all the information they need to fulfill their mandate and achieve their business objectives. Your ResponsibilitiesConduct interviews with hourly candidates and provide feedback to decision makersResponsible for the administration of onboarding and termination paperwork of all staff members Review, investigate and rectify payroll discrepancies in a timely mannerAdministration and troubleshooting of insurance benefits and 401k benefits plansCoordinate claims for disability, FLMA, NYSSL and maintain records of employees on leavesSupport with the return to work plan and ongoing activitiesEnsure practices are in accordance with Employment lawAssists with coaching and employee relationsLeads and organizes the social committeeEnable proper communication within the manufacture across all hierarchies, shifts and staffMaintain employee training records Improve and manage ongoing activities related to the employee recognition programsYour Background and StrengthsBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related fieldHave good knowledge of the employment lawProven experience in a similar role within the industrial sectorStrong working knowledge of Microsoft Office365 suites such as Outlook, TEAMS, Word, PowerPoint and ExcelBe dynamic, resourceful, possess great problem solving, organizational and planning skillsExceptional English communication skills both written and spokenCollaborative spirit needed to work effectively with all team membersStrong organizational skills and ability to set priorities#revealyourpotential  #LifeAtCascadesCascades believes in the success of an inclusive organization that values diversity within its team.
