      We are now seeking an experienced part-time HR Manager to lead all aspects of human resources function, for our client in the Technology sector. The HR Manager will develop and manage the company’s HR policies, employee training and development program, mentorship program, recruitment activities, and overall compensation and benefits strategy. This is a newly created position so the responsibilities of the role may evolve over time depending on the company’s needs. The HR Manager role is part-time, 3 days per week on average, but the incumbent should have the ability to adjust between 2 and 4 days per week depending on business demands. This is an exciting opportunity to help build and lead the company's programs in support of ambitious growth plans.Advantages• Flexible schedule• Competitive salary• Work from home• 4 weeks vacation to start• Benefits package from Day 1• RRSP matching from Day 1• Excellent work life balanceResponsibilities•Plan, direct, and manage all human resources initiatives, including recruitment, training and development, performance management, compensation and benefits, and employee relations.•Manage company HR policies and programs, review and update related company policies, such as the Employee Handbook, to meet the company’s needs and to comply with regulatory standards.•Develop strategies to attract and engage team members and enhance the company’s culture in a mostly remote-work environment.•Lead the development and implementation of COVID and general office safety plans.•Advise management on employee and labour practices in accordance with industry best practices and legal requirements in Canada.•Assist management with identifying staffing and recruiting needs and lead the recruitment process, including interviewing, hiring, and onboarding.•Collaborate with managers to develop and deliver employee training and mentorship programs and facilitate performance management.•Coordinate with managers on planning and carrying out performance improvement plans, disciplinary action, or terminations as needed.•Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, and regulatory changes in human resources, talent management, and employment law and apply this knowledge to improve the company's HR programs.•Coordinate with external legal advisors on general corporate and employment matters as needed.•Perform other related duties and manage special projects as required.Qualifications•Bachelor’s Degree•CPHR or SHRM-SCP are an asset•Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience and 5 years of HR leadership experience•Strategic mindset and proven ability to be creative when finding solutions to problems•Excellent organizational, time management and prioritization skills including the ability to multi-task with competing priorities•Must be able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information•Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal•Software industry experience is a plusOther Requirements•Must be eligible to work in Canada•Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance as a condition of employment•Must be willing to occasionally work outside normal work schedule to achieve deadlinesSummaryIf this sounds like the opportunity for you then we would love to hear from you - please apply here today and one of our Staffing Consultants will be in touch.
