The HR Manager helps to achieve the unit’s objectives by recruiting a skilled and engaged workforce. You will collaborate with the HR centres of expertise and shared services. You will actively participate in your unit’s Management Committee and clearly contribute to operational efficiency and support driving changes. You will also guide the managers and your colleagues and promote the company’s culture and values. Your responsibilitiesEfficiently support with the workforce requirements, including succession, in line with the investment and operating budgets.Establish the necessary training plan for employee developmentSupport with union relations, contract negotiations and grievance resolutionProvide coaching to the supervisors in establishing objectives and compensation, reviewing performance and building a skills development plan for all employees.Oversee labour relations management and continuous improvement efforts.Apply the company policies and business processes.Collaborates with HR colleagues on cross-functional initiatives to help implement new HR programs, processes and policies.In partnership with the recruiting team, be an active participant in the recruitment process, including recruiting for open positions which includes developing a recruitment strategy with the business, sourcing, interviewing, presenting & negotiating offers and onboarding.Your background and strengthsBachelor’s Degree required; major in Industrial/Labor Relations, Human Resources Management Minimum of 5 years of prior Human Resources and Leadership experienceExtensive experience working in a collective bargaining environment Experience supporting front-line, field-based client groups is required;Practicing HR in a manufacturing environment is preferred Must ensure activities are in compliance with all state and federal employment laws and regulationsAbilities to develop trusting relationship in a manner to foster communication with workers and business partnersBroad knowledge of continuous improvement concepts and the ability to integrate them into your management.#revealyourpotential  #LifeAtCascadesCascades believes in the success of an inclusive organization that values diversity within its team.
