      POSITION SUMMARY:Driving a Tractor Trailer, Rear Packer, Roll-Off, Straight and/or Pick-up truck to various customer locations to pick up their recycled materials.Must understand and practice the Company’s values, which includes treating each other with respect and dignity regardless of position and supports personal growth and continuous improvement.ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Before leaving the client’s site clean up any excess material that might have fallen off the full containers while placing them in your truck and/or fallen out of containers during the tarping and switching procedures.11. When driving a Tractor Trailer Truck :• Pickup skidded material or switch rolling containers of paper and/or other recycled material;• Confirm with the customer before switching the full rolling bins with empty ones at each client’s site;• When the trailer is full of material insure that the load is properly secured and then delivered to the plant, as instructed by Dispatch, to off load and reload for the next run; and• Operate small on board forklift used to stack bales and pallets, if required.12. When driving a Rear Packer Truck :• Empty containers safely into the hopper of the packer insuring that the load is evenly distributed and that the hopper is not over loaded; and• As the material could come in various types of containers, confirm with the customer, which containers are to be emptied of their material.13. When driving a Roll-Off Truck :• Switch, install and/or remove roll-off containers;• Insure compactor bin is secured to the truck;• Ensure that the compactor equipment is shut down and locked out before switching containers; and• Pick-up and tarp partial/full roll-off container loads and transport loads to the proper facilities, as instructed by Dispatch, to be dumped.14. When driving a Straight Truck :• Pickup and switch rolling bins of paper and/or other recycled material;• Confirm with the customer before switching the full rolling bins with empty ones at each client’s site; and• When the truck is full material insure that the load is properly secured and then delivered to the plant, as instructed by Dispatch, to off load and reload for the next run.15. The incumbent will ensure that all quality and risk departmental processes are conducted in alignment with the Air Canada Safety Management Manual (SMM), the Corporate Risk Management Manual, and the Air Operator Security Program (Publication 359). This position is responsible for the department’s conformance with IOSA requirements and other international standards and best practices, and to ensure that operational branches implement processes appropriately. The incumbent is also responsible to identify areas of security risk, facilitate security risk assessments, and ensure mitigating actions are assigned and tracked. This position will support the department and operational branches in determining root cause and appropriate corrective actions for identified risks.  Key Function & Accountabilities:Fulfil the equivalent responsibilities of a branch Quality Manager and Risk Manager, respectively, as per the SMM, for the department.Responsible for the IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) beta and biennial audits and related quality reviews, working closely with others in the department and the Corporate Quality team. Provide guidance and functional direction to the department and operational branches to ensure conformance with the standards and obtain related evidence.Monitor results of audits and inspections to determine the effectiveness of corrective actions and to identify risks and/ or vulnerabilities.Responsible for coordinating the administrative maintenance of the Air Canada Air Operator Security Program, including all aspects of document control. Ensure that all Corporate Security business processes are documented, implemented, and reviewed annually.Manage the department’s consistent use of SIMS by developing, documenting and having oversight of business processes to ensure all required data is submitted consistently in SIMS by all members of Corporate Security.Enhance and maintain the security reporting process, including the subsequent assessments in SIMS.Maintain the security risk baseline assessment and risk management process, based on existing standards implemented by Corporate Safety.Manage and mitigate hazards, constantly review for any occurrences or changes that may affect the department, analyze and assess those events, and ensure any change in risk profile is managed and recorded appropriately.Verify appropriate mitigation activities are completed and effective, or that new mitigations are developed as appropriate.Participate in internal or cross-branch risk assessments. Monitoring departmental and operational branch performance by gathering and analyzing data on a consistent basis.Engage regularly with operational branches, through established recurrent meetings, to ensure that any quality issues are identified and mitigated appropriately.In collaboration with Safety Data Analytics team, prepare all security data and analysis for weekly Airports and International Operations meetings, committees, quarterly boards, and other groups as required. Educate leadership and branches on top security risk events, threats and hazards. Participate in the weekly Safety Event Review meeting, quarterly Security Resilience Committee (SRC), Quality Management Committee (QMC) and Safety Risk Management Committee (SRMC) meetings. Participate in review of procedural weaknesses related to security processes and procedures. Work closely with Branch Safety Managers across Air Canada.Maintain the Zephon system, or whichever mechanism is used for aircraft security searches, including managing the related e-mail inbox, liaising with IT, providing business rules, performing testing, and performing quality oversight.Ensure that members of Corporate Security obtain and maintain Air Canada quality and auditor training and qualifications and participate annually in station safety audits. This position is responsible for the department’s conformance with IOSA requirements and other international standards and best practices, and to ensure that operational branches implement processes appropriately. The incumbent is also responsible to identify areas of security risk, facilitate security risk assessments, and ensure mitigating actions are assigned and tracked. This position will support the department and operational branches in determining root cause and appropriate corrective actions for identified risks.  Key Function & Accountabilities:Fulfil the equivalent responsibilities of a branch Quality Manager and Risk Manager, respectively, as per the SMM, for the department.Responsible for the IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) beta and biennial audits and related quality reviews, working closely with others in the department and the Corporate Quality team. Work closely with Branch Safety Managers across Air Canada.Maintain the Zephon system, or whichever mechanism is used for aircraft security searches, including managing the related e-mail inbox, liaising with IT, providing business rules, performing testing, and performing quality oversight.Ensure that members of Corporate Security obtain and maintain Air Canada quality and auditor training and qualifications and participate annually in station safety audits. Let your career take flight by joining our diverse and vibrant team at the leading edge of passenger aviation.        Whether a Captain, a First Officer or Relief Pilot, an Air Canada pilot's number one priority is to conduct each flight safely with due consideration to passenger comfort and on-time performance.                 While the typical work month consists of approximately 80 hours of flying, pilots spend many additional hours on such ground duties as preparing flight plans, readying the aircraft for departure, and completing post-flight reports. A day's work may vary from a long-range international flight to a sequence of shorter domestic flights. Reserve duty, in which the pilot is "on call", may also be assigned.           Air Canada pilots operate out of one of the four crew bases: Montreal, Toronto, Winnipeg or Vancouver. Base preferences are awarded in seniority so pilots must be willing to relocate as assigned. Pilots typically begin their career as a First Officer on domestic aircraft or as a Relief Pilot on long-range, international flights.Qualifications To fly for Air Canada, pilots must meet certain basic requirements:   2000 hours of fixed wing flying time        Ability to pass the Air Canada and Transport Canada medical and visual acuity requirements for a Category 1 medical certificate         Canadian Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL), current Group 1 (Multi-engine) Instrument Rating         Canadian citizenship or landed immigrant status         The ability to hold a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC)   Pilot applications far exceed job vacancies, so preference is given to candidates with qualifications beyond the basic requirements.       Your challenge! This position will coordinate, in the most cost effective and efficient manner, the daily activities of our internal fleet of vehicles as well as direct the activities of outbound deliveries.
